The Eisner Foundation is proud to have made the following grants over the past calendar year:

After-School Programs
To provide support for an academic enrichment program that serves over 2,000 youth from the Rampart community of Los Angeles: $100,000 to Heart of Los Angeles (Los Angeles, CA).

To provide academic, health, and social enrichment services in an after-school program for children who are blind or visually-impaired: $100,000 to Junior Blind of America (Los Angeles, CA).

To provide support for an academic enrichment program that serves 1,200 youth in the mid-Wilshire and Westlake areas of Los Angeles: $100,000 to P.F. Bresee Foundation (Los Angeles, CA).

To provide support for Afternoon Tutoring & College Prep program which meets  the academic needs of over 200 students (grades 1-12) and trains their parents to be educational advocates in Mar Vista and Culver City area: $100,000 to Mar Vista Family Center (Culver City, CA).

To support an integrated after-school program of tutorial assistance for youth involved in the Kids Campus program: $240,000 to Our Saviour Center (Los Angeles, CA).

To support Impacto, an after-school and summer academic enrichment program serving at-risk youth: $100,000 to Proyecto Pastoral (Los Angeles, CA).

To support an after-school marathon-training program for at-risk youth: $100,000 to Students Run LA (Los Angeles, CA).

Arts Education
To support the Community Pathways Initiative which will provide free arts-education programs to low-income youth in Pasadena: $100,000 to Armory Center for the Arts (Pasadena, CA).

To support the Community Arts Partnership program which provides new media arts education programs to local youth: $1,250,000 to California Institute of the Arts (Los Angeles, CA).

To provide art resources, supplies and instruction to 400 teachers within 120 schools throughout Los Angeles County: $100,000 to DonorsChoose.org (Los Angeles, CA).

To support an organization that provides 199 weekly dance classes to over 1,500 underserved inner-city children, ages 4-18, in Rampart-Pico Union area of Los Angeles: $100,000 to the Gabriella Axelrad Education Foundation (Los Angeles, CA). 

To provide support in delivering visual and performing arts programs to more than 10,000 children, teachers and family members in the Skid Row area of downtown Los Angeles: $100,000 to Inner-City Arts (Los Angeles, CA).

To support the Recovered Voices program: $100,000 to Los Angeles Opera (Los Angeles, CA).

To create a network of community-based youth orchestras in underserved areas of Los Angeles County: $100,000 to Los Angeles Philharmonic Youth Orchestra (Los Angeles, CA).

To provide in-school and after-school arts programs at an arts charter school: $75,000 to Renaissance Arts Academy (Los Angeles, CA).

College Access
To provide support for College Bound Expansion program which assists low-income students in the South Bay in graduating from high school and attending college: $100,000 to Boys & Girls Clubs of the Los Angeles Harbor (San Pedro, CA).

To provide individualized comprehensive college access services to low-income public high school students: $60,000 to College Match (Los Angeles, CA).

To support the College Counseling Program of a system of 13 public charter schools: $100,000 to Inner City Education Foundation (Los Angeles, CA).

To provide general operating support for an organization working to promote learning and the pursuit of higher education in the San Fernando Valley: $300,000 to Project GRAD LA (Los Angeles, CA).

Disability
To provide services for children with learning, emotional and developmental disabilities: $100,000 to Exceptional Children's Foundation (Los Angeles, CA).

Family Services
To provide support for an organization that addresses the challenges of families with special-needs children in the South Bay: $25,000 to Friendship Circle (Los Angeles, CA).

To support an organization that provides a comprehensive continuum of care for homeless and low-income individuals: $100,000 to Harbor Interfaith Services (Los Angeles, CA).

To provide quality early care and education for 340 children (ages 6 weeks to 6 years) of working parents in Long Beach: $100,000 to Long Beach Day Nursery (Long Beach, CA).

To support an agency that provides emergency food, clothing, medical care and other basic needs services to disenfranchised individuals: $100,000 to MEND, Inc. (Los Angeles, CA).

To provide education and social services for low-income families and 120 at-risk children (ages 0-5) in Pasadena: $100,000 to Mothers’ Club Family Learning Center (Pasadena, CA).

To support sexual assault intervention and prevention services in Eastern Los Angeles County: $75,000 to Project Sister (Los Angeles, CA).

To provide counseling to at-risk children and their parents and strengthen families through education and support services: $100,000 to Richstone Family Center (Los Angeles, CA).

To support the Children's Services Program which provides comprehensive intervention and support services to the youngest victims of domestic violence: $50,000 to Women's Shelter of Long Beach (Los Angeles, CA).

Foster Care
To support the special education program that helps provide services and advocacy for foster children who have disabilities:  $300,000 to the Alliance for Children’s Rights (Los Angeles, CA).

To provide general support for an organization that serves youth in crisis by providing immediate shelter, assessment, and treatment: $150,000 to Boys Town California (Los Angeles, CA).

To provide services for foster and adoptive parents/families, and recruit more homes for children waiting for care: $100,000 to Child S.H.A.R.E.  (Los Angeles, CA).

To provide support for an agency that addresses the needs of young people being emancipated or emerging from the foster care system: $40,000 to Echoes of Hope (Los Angeles, CA).      

To support the Child Abuse Treatment program which will assist in treating abused children: $150,000 to House of Ruth (Los Angeles, CA).

To provide foster youth with transitional and independent living plans and services: $200,000 to Public Counsel (Los Angeles, CA).

Gang Intervention
To support the Summer Night Lights program, a gang reduction and youth development program centered in the city's gang-infested parks: $125,000 to A Better L.A. (Los Angeles, CA).

Healthcare
To support a children’s dental clinic that provides services to children from low-income families in the South Bay: $75,000 to Children’s Dental Health Clinic (Los Angeles, CA).

To support the endowment campaign for a pediatric and family medical center serving low-income, uninsured and under-insured families: $1,000,000 to the Eisner Pediatric & Family Medical Center (Los Angeles, CA).

To provide support for an organization that offers health care to 23,000 uninsured families in Long Beach and surrounding communities: $200,000 to The Children's Clinic (Long Beach, CA).

To provide comprehensive primary health care services to children who are low-income and uninsured or underinsured:  $220,000 to Venice Family Clinic (Los Angeles, CA).

K-12 Education
To provide support for a project that increases science learning access to Title I school communities in the South Bay: $100,000 to Aquarium of the Pacific (Los Angeles, CA).  

To provide quality academic, guidance and student counseling needs: $200,000 to Bright Star Charter Schools (Los Angeles, CA).

To support three local charter school campuses serving over 1,500 students: $400,000 to Camino Nuevo Charter Academy (Los Angeles,CA).

To support an organization that provides comprehensive educational and family services to low-income children, youth, and families in Los Angeles County: $125,000 to Para Los Niños (Los Angeles, CA).

To support the Los Angeles operations of a national organization that will recruit, train and place new teachers in underserved schools in the Los Angeles Unified and Lynwood School Districts:  $300,000 to Teach For America (Los Angeles, CA).

To provide support for a nationally recognized early education and elementary school in Los Angeles: $1,000,000 to The Center for Early Education (Los Angeles, CA).

Literacy
To provide support in helping 3,500 low-income, underserved youth with their creative and expository writing skills through in-school/after-school tutoring and writing workshops: $150,000 to 826LA (Los Angeles, CA).

To support the Volunteer Reading Program which provides site coordinators to build library and literacy programming at Los Angeles County schools: $25,000 to Wonder of Reading (Los Angeles, CA).

Mental Health
To provide support for a community-based mental health care organization that primarily serves Latino families living in the Downtown/Pico Union areas of Los Angeles: $50,000 to Amanecer Community Counseling Services (Los Angeles, CA).

To provide support for an organization that offers mental health and social services to 11,500 low-income children and families in Los Angeles County: $150,000 to Hathaway-Sycamores Child & Family Services (Los Angeles, CA).

To provide support for a program that conducts crisis intervention and group therapy services to 500 children and families who are not eligible for Medi-Cal: $200,000 to VIP Community Mental Health Center (Los Angeles, CA).

Seed Grants

To provide support for an after-school program that offers academic enrichment and mentoring services to at-risk children in South Los Angeles: $15,000 to Foundation for Second Chances (Los Angeles, CA).

To provide support for a transitional home and day care center for at-risk women and their children: $15,000 to Gramercy Housing Group (Los Angeles, CA).

To provide support for an equine therapy program serving children with autism and other developmental disabilities: $15,000 to Healing Horses (Los Angeles, CA).

To provide support for a literacy organization that partners with elementary schools throughout Los Angeles County: $10,000 to Reading Partners (Los Angeles, CA).

To provide support for a creative writing and mentoring program that pairs at-risk girls with professional women writers: $15,000 to Write Girl (Los Angeles, CA).

To provide support for a youth organization that empowers young people from Pacoima to get involved and give back to their community: $15,000 to Youth Speak! Collective (Pacoima, CA).

Senior Support
To provide support for the Senior Legal Services program which offers comprehensive legal services to low-income seniors: $125,000 to Bet Tzedek Legal Services (Los Angeles, CA). 

To provide low vision rehabilitation services to older adults: $100,000 to The Center for the Partially Sighted (Los Angeles, CA).

To provide basic social services to the growing Spanish-speaking population in the Pasadena community: $50,000 to El Centro de Accion Social (Los Angeles, CA).

To provide support to improve the quality of life of over 825 children and 635 caregivers and empower and advocate for kinship families throughout Los Angeles County: $100,000 to Grandparents As Parents, Inc. (Los Angeles, CA).

To support the Senior Nutrition program, which provides free, nutritious meals to 117,200 low-income seniors annually: $100,000 to Los Angeles Regional Food Bank (Los Angeles, CA).

To provide support for an intergenerational care agency that improves the lives of seniors, children and their families in West San Fernando Valley: $150,000 to ONEgeneration (Los Angeles, CA).

To support an agency that provides programs for seniors on fall prevention, illness management and other health needs: $75,000 to the Partners In Care Foundation (Los Angeles, CA).     

To support a program that provides education on sustained nutrition, adult day care, and other health promotion services for 3,000 seniors in the greater downtown Los Angeles area: $75,000 to St. Barnabas Senior Center (Los Angeles, CA).

To provide support for an organization that prepares and delivers 4,700 meals daily to over 2,500 homebound seniors and adults with serious illnesses and disabilities in Central and South Los Angeles: $150,000 to St. Vincent Meals On Wheels (Los Angeles, CA).

To provide support for the Home Safety Adaptations for the Elderly project: $90,000 to University of Southern California's Andrus Gerontology Center (Los Angeles, CA).

To support an organization that provides leadership, advocacy and innovative services to seniors: $200,000 to WISE & Healthy Aging (Los Angeles, CA).

Youth Services
To provide support for an organization serving low-income youth that combines after-school programs, athletics and community service: $150,000 to GOALS (Anaheim, CA).

To provide support for an organization that offers safe sports opportunities to 8,500 low-income youth and their families throughout Los Angeles County: $100,000 to Kids In Sports (Los Angeles, CA).

To provide infants and toddlers at the Early Learning Center opportunities for healthy growth and development: $250,000 to Saint Anne's Foundation (Los Angeles, CA).
