Our Transparency and Accountability:
Even though we dispense private funding at the Eisner Foundation, we feel we are stewards of the public trust, and therefore have a responsibility to be as transparent and accountable as humanly possible. It is our duty and obligation to our grantees, our financial partners, and the taxpaying public as a whole. As a result, on our website you will find our tax returns, our audited financial statements, and the letters granting us tax-exempt status by the relevant government entities. You will also find a complete list of our grantees, and we make every effort to share our successes and failures as grant-makers, and our decision-making processes and methodologies. We believe that if we as a non-profit sector wish to again create public confidence in our work, charities and foundations alike must be leaders in creating a climate of transparency and accountability.
